What is LED?

L.E.D is a light emitting diode. LED therapy is a natural and non-invasive skin treatment for any age, any skin type, and any skin tone.

LED uses technology based skin treatments that use specific wavelengths of natural light to restore the skins health.

Okay, but how does it work?

The energy delivered by the light emitting diodes (LED) enhances cellular metabolism. This works to stimulate the bodies “build” mode which increases collagen, increase circulation, and improves the functioning of the lymphatic system. Leaving you with younger, healthier looking skin.

Is There Proof in The Technology?

Clinical studies, scientific and medical research, independent testing and patient testimonials exist to prove the efficiency of Light-therapy. Research has even been conducted by NASA’s space program the LED light therapy promotes wound healing and human tissue growth.

Is the Process Abrasive or Painful?

NO. LED therapy is gentle, painless, safe, non-invasive and non-abrasive.

How is Treatment Administered and What is the Recommended Schedule for the LED Facial Series?

Depending on age and the condition of the skin, treatments are recommended two to three times a week for a course of four to six weeks as a stand-alone treatment. However, it works amazing alongside other skin therapy treatments like; dermal needling, HydraFacial and injectables.
The sensation is similar to lying in the sun without the heat, in fact many of our patients fall asleep while laying with the LED on.

How Soon Can I See Results?

The skin will start to look different after the first treatment, smoother and more hydrated, with a natural glow. As LED stimulates the bodies healing mechanism, results may not be immediate, but will be gradual. With each treatment you will see an improvement. However, an effective home care regime is recommended to further enhance results.

What Light is Right for Me?

LED have different wavelengths of light that do different things, as they reach different levels of the skin.

Blue Light Therapy aims to destroy acne and bacteria, as well as minimize redness and irritation.

Green Light Therapy aims to regulate melanin production, reduce pigmentation and reduces redness.

Yellow Light Therapy aims to activate toxin elimination, improve decongestion, and stimulate lymphocyte production.

Red Light therapy aims to increase collagen production, restore cell function, and provide essential energy for cellular renewal, nutrition and removal of waste material.

Low wattage light is directed through the skins epidermis and aimed at fibroblast cells, which produce collagen and elastin. The light stimulates the cells own energy transport system, therefore helping to stimulate and renew skin.

Red is seen as an anti-ageing light, that stimulates collagen and can reduce fine lines and wrinkles, scar reduction and overall rejuvenation of the skin.

Yellow light aims to tighten and tone, detoxify and stimulate sensory motor nervous system.

Blue light treats acne as it is antibacterial and helps to regulate oil glands.

Violet/Purple light treats psoriasis, dermatitis and vitiligo

Green light aims to clam red skin, broken red capillaries and is anti-inflammatory for rosacea, traumatised skin (like sunburn) and can aid in fading pigmentation and uneven skin colour.

Orange light is a combination of red and yellow light

Turquoise light is a combination of blue and green.

Light does ranging in colour have been proven to be most effective for skin rejuvenation treatments that relate to rehabilitation of the microcirculation and encouragement of fibroblast activity.
