Skin Peels in Winston Hills, NSW
Facial enzyme peels can be light, medium or deep. The procedure is quite safe and effective, and the amount of downtime afterwards depends on the type of peel used.
How Much Does a Facial Enzyme Peel Cost?
Winston Hills skin care dentist Dr Martina Lavery recommends doing a series of peels a few weeks apart to optimise the effects on the skin. Purchasing a pack of peels is more cost-effective, and patients are happier with a series of peels because of their results.
After a comprehensive skin analysis to identify skin type, Dr Lavery will customise a personal plan to address your specific rejuvenation and facial enhancement goals.
Enzymatic peels are what we refer to at the Studio as, ‘Wow! You’re glowing’ peels. They are a great start to refreshing and restoring the appearance of the skin.
Referencing Dr Lavery’s homeland on the Emerald Isle and the eternally youthful Celtic maidens, we offer four Celtic-named main types of peels:
• Ion – pure
• Solas – luminous
• Calma – soothing
• Óg – youthful
Alpha Hydroxy Acids
Acid peels, such those made with lactic acid, are the gentlest peels available and perform mild to moderate peels. Acid peels provide smoother, brighter-looking skin for people who wish to avoid the downtime common with deeper peels.
Approximately six light-to-medium-strength peels will give you results as good as a deeper peel without trauma.
Skincare Rx Lactic Acid (Light-Medium)
• Lactic acid 20% – surface peel for all skin types or first peel.
• Lactic acid 30% – light peel
• Lactic acid 40% – light/medium peel for experienced lactic users or those with thicker or less sensitive skin.
• Lactic acid 60% – medium peel for experienced lactic users. Often tolerated by men with a thicker, less sensitive skin.
Beta-Hydroxy Acids (BHA)
BHAs such as salicylic work to achieve similar results as AHAs but are particularly effective on acne-prone skin. BHAs are oil-soluble and therefore more effective in dissolving the lipids that form acne and clogged pores.
Skincare Rx Salicylic Acid (medium peel)
• Salicylic Acid 20% – lightest of the medium
• Salicylic Acid 30% – medium peel
