What is a HydraFacial TM?

A HydraFacial TM is a 3-step process, that leads to better health of your skin.

Our Standard treatment involves the steps listed below.

In the first step we cleanse and exfoliate the skin, this is done via a cleanser that is applied to your skin, then washed off, and a serum called “Activ 4.”

“Activ 4” is a serum that contains glucosamine and some lactic acid. This helps to remove the outer layer of dead skin cells. The “Activ 4” serum is infused into the skin to soften the links binding the cells beneath this outer layer so that on the second pass we will achieve a more effective exfoliation than what can normally be achieved using conventional methods.

In the second stage we will put on a “GlySal” peel and do a deeper cleanse.

The “GlySal” is a mild chemical peel that contains a combination of 7.5% glycolic and 2% salicylic acid. This will begin to soften and dissolve the impurities, blackheads, makeup and sunscreen that are filling your pores in preparation to remove them during the next phase of the treatment.

We then wait a few minutes to allow the peel to react and work on the skin.

Next, we increase the vacuum level to maximise the removal of impurities from your pores and also to remove the “GlySal.”

For the extraction stage we use a “BetaHD” serum. It contains a very low salicylic acid and honey extract to calm and soothe the skin. It also helps to reduce the amount of oil in your skin.

In the last step we re-hydrate the face using Hyaluronic acid, which attracts and holds one thousand times it’s own weight in water and when infused deep into the skin it can result in future layers of skin developing in a hydrated environment resulted in softer, smoother looking skin.

Our serum for this stage is called “Antiox +.” This serum along with it’s specially designed tip allows us to infuse the serum into the skin. The serum contains a combination of powerful antioxidants, vitamin A, E and the hyaluronic acid, to hydrate and protect the skin from the environment and dietary free radicals that cause damage and premature aging.

Other alternatives to this treatment are available, such as lymphatic drainage, and an additional step can be added called “Derma Builder,” which can reduce the fine lines and wrinkles.
